The Position
We are looking for a network specialist with experience in cloud platforms. He or she will bring his or her expertise to build with our team innovative solutions to help our customers manage distributed architectures leveraging our products.
The network expert will work directly within a feature team that consists of talented engineers that have experience in building and maintaining Traefik, one of the most popular open-source solutions in the infrastructure landscape.
He or she has developed a passion for networking and will design, explain, deploy, and maintain connected and distributed architectures while ensuring the network security.
The network expert will play a key role in studies and help improve our technology, solving complex problems to introduce new cutting-edge features to our product line.
The network expert will report to the Head of Product in charge of managing our SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert for Traefik Labs networks and product lines
- Lead the installation, support, and maintenance of advanced network components
- Research availability, performance, and security of network systems.
- Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network hardware and network related problems.
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in building and managing an ever evolving network-challenging environment
- A strong technical background with a solid experience in defining and operating infrastructures on the cloud.
- Passionate about open-source software
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of networking and infrastructure technologies
- Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.
- A creative mind who loves to share: while accomplishing goals requires focus, we do not work in silos; innovating and sharing matter to us
Location
US or EU. While we practice remote working, the team regularly meets in real life; the ambition is international – as is our users base – and the missions require various level of international traveling
